Tyson is an unconventional professional, with unconventional ideas, which create unconventional results in conventional industries.
As an entrepreneur, business analyst and dietitian he has an innate ability to put himself in the shoes of the consumer and develop creative solutions which provide market leading/differentiation/tactics to achieve the greatest results.
Tyson started off with a Bachelor of Business (Management)/Bachelor Science (Performance Enhancement/Nutrition) at The University of the Sunshine Coast. From there moved to Griffith University on the Gold Coast and completed a Masters of Nutrition & Dietetics (Research) in 2011.
Tyson has worked in the community and private practice since graduation, private hospitals (4 years), an Indigenous Health Service, schools, medical centres, aged care facilities, corporate, and private practice. Most notable clinical work for many is the elite sporting teams work he has completed including Australian Lacrosse Team (including travel to Japan), LA Sparks (USA WNBA team), and oversaw all work with Melbourne Storm, Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory.
Since graduating in 2011, Tyson has been on a mission to create, manage and develop business to not only improve the health and performance of individuals and the public but also provide a support environment for practitioners to grow, excel and achieve their career goals. From starting out as a “one-man show” with Correct Nutrition at the end of 2012, Tyson then acquired several other dietetics businesses, then started and built Australia’s largest and most award-winning dietetics practice – Fuel Your Life (FYL)- with over 45 dietitians and in over 250 locations nationwide. FYL was then acquired in Nov.2022 where Tyson oversaw the transition for 6 months and left the company in mid-2023. So he truly has the experience over the lifecycle of a successful business.
Tyson’s philosophy is “More. Better. Always. Forever.” The goal is continually improved, innovate and challenge himself and his team to become better versions. Tyson also has a keen interest in initiating change in the dietetic industry, providing a voice to issues seldom discussed (which at times is challenges to hear for some) and to provide substantial positive opportunities for individual and industry development.
He also loves a beer – so if you ever want to ask a question, ask him to catch up and buy him a beer! 😉
